The Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development recently hosted representatives from the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the Society for the Empowerment of Young Persons (SEYP) to discuss potential areas of collaboration for the benefit of Edo women and girls.
During the meeting, Commissioner Chief Bisi Idaomi emphasized the importance of vocational training programs that equip beneficiaries with skills to start their own businesses immediately upon completion. This initiative aims to enhance the socio-economic status of women and girls in Edo State.
The collaboration seeks to leverage the expertise and resources of GIZ and SEYP to drive meaningful development and empowerment in the state. Further discussions will focus on implementing these initiatives to achieve tangible results.
