Edo Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development receives donations from IOM

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has donated office equipment and other essential items to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The donation, funded by the Italian government, includes desktop computers, wireless keyboards, computer mice, UPS units, smartphones, power banks, and feedback boxes for shelters across the state.

 

The items were handed over to the Honourable Commissioner, Chief Bisi Idaomi, by the IOM State Coordinator, Mr. Khan Arshad Rashid, and his team.

 

Chief Idaomi expressed gratitude for the gesture and pledged to collaborate with IOM on future activities. The donation was formalized with the signing of a deed of donation by both parties, strengthening the partnership between the Ministry and IOM in promoting social development and welfare in Edo State.

 

The presentation of the items was also witnessed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Joy Ihensekhien, the Director of Women Affairs Department, Mrs Florence Nwaozor and the Gender Desk Officer,Mrs Eseosa Onebamoi.
