Ministry Launches New Program to Support Survivors of Domestic Violence

The Edo State Ministry of Social Development and Gender Issues is pleased to announce the launch of a new program aimed at providing support to families affected by domestic violence. This initiative, which is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to end domestic violence in Edo State, will offer a range of services to survivors to help them rebuild their lives and break free from the cycle of abuse.

The program will provide survivors with access to counseling services to help them cope with the trauma of domestic violence and develop strategies for healing and recovery. Legal support will also be available to assist survivors in navigating the legal system and accessing justice.

In addition, the program will provide shelter services to survivors who need a safe place to stay away from their abusers. This will ensure that survivors have a secure environment where they can begin the process of rebuilding their lives and moving forward.

The Ministry is committed to providing comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence and is working closely with other government agencies, civil society organizations, and community leaders to raise awareness about the issue and mobilize support for survivors.

“We are excited to launch this new program to support survivors of domestic violence in our community,” said [Name], Commissioner for Social Development and Gender Issues. “Domestic violence is a serious issue that affects individuals and families across Edo State, and we are committed to providing survivors with the support they need to rebuild their lives and move forward.”

The launch of this new program marks an important milestone in the Ministry’s efforts to end domestic violence in Edo State and create a safer, more supportive environment for all residents. The Ministry encourages anyone affected by domestic violence to reach out for help and take advantage of the services available to them through this program.
